Overview
The Aircraft Quality Inspector is responsible for ensuring all maintenance, repairs, and alterations on aircraft and components meet regulatory requirements, company standards, and safety expectations. This role plays a critical part in maintaining airworthiness by performing inspections, audits, documentation reviews, and quality verifications throughout maintenance processes.

The Aircraft Quality Inspector is responsible for ensuring all maintenance, repairs, and alterations on aircraft and components meet regulatory requirements, company standards, and safety expectations. This role plays a critical part in maintaining airworthiness by performing inspections, audits, documentation reviews, and quality verifications throughout maintenance processes.
Key ResponsibilitiesInspection & Verification
- Conduct detailed inspections of aircraft, components, and systems in accordance with FAA regulations, manufacturer specifications, and company procedures.
- Verify that all maintenance activities comply with approved technical data, engineering documents, and quality standards.
- Perform in-process, preliminary, hidden-damage, and final inspections during scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
- Review and validate maintenance records, logbook entries, work orders, and corrective actions for accuracy and compliance.
- Ensure all discrepancies are properly documented and resolved prior to aircraft release.
- Maintain accurate and organized inspection documentation for regulatory audits.
- Identify non-conformities, potential hazards, and process deviations; initiate corrective actions as needed.
- Assist in internal audits, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide guidance to technicians on standards, best practices, and regulatory compliance.
QualificationsRequired
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3–5 years of aircraft maintenance or inspection experience.
- Strong knowledge of aircraft systems, technical manuals, and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, maintenance manuals, and inspection criteria.
