Job Description
One of our great clients is looking for a Asbestos Supervisor! This is a great Temp to Hire position with one of Wichita's top employers. We want to talk to you if you have asbestos abatement experience and supervisory experience! Position Responsibilities: Supervise and perform asbestos abatement projects using a variety of techniques, including glove bagging and gross abatement of floor tile and mastic, ceiling tile, piping and insulation, etc.
Supervise a team of 1-2 leads and 5-10 laborers
Set up and take down containment and glove bags
Load and properly dispose of asbestos
Supervise and perform non-friable asbestos abatement
Perform air sampling and submit cassettes and air sheets in a timely manner
Supervise and perform lead abatement activities as needed
Ensure employee compliance with safety policies and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
Operate motor vehicles safely and in compliance with applicable regulations
Provide customer service to client representatives and regulatory agencies
Track usage of supplies and equipment
Inspect and track crew work
Complete required project paperwork, such as timesheets, JSAs, and toolbox safety meetings and submit in a timely manner
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Certification and Training - 40-hour Asbestos Supervisor Training
State Asbestos License and Federal Certification Experience - 5 years asbestos abatement experience
5 years supervisory experience, supervising crew of up to 10 people Driving - Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record
Communication Skills - Excellent verbal communication skills
Good written communication skills
Bilingual English and Spanish preferred Other Skills - Strong ability to work safely with equipment
Excellent problem-solving skills
Strong customer service orientation
Strong team player
Regular attendance and punctuality
