One of our newest clients is looking for a Assistant Plant Manager!  As the Assistant Plant Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Plant Manager in overseeing plant operations and driving a culture of positivity and teamwork. You will ensure efficient production processes, uphold high-quality standards, and cultivate a motivated workforce. Key Responsibilities:

Production Support:
  • Assist the Plant Manager in coordinating daily production operations, ensuring schedules are met and production targets are consistently achieved.
  • Help manage inventory effectively to ensure the availability of necessary materials while minimizing waste and costs.

Workflow Optimization:
  • Collaborate with production team leads to enhance workflow and operational efficiency, encouraging input and feedback from all team members.
  • Support the implementation of lean manufacturing initiatives, fostering a culture of continuous improvement to enhance productivity and reduce downtime.

Quality Assurance:
  • Assist in maintaining high standards of quality control, ensuring that all products meet company and industry standards.
  • Proactively implement corrective actions for quality issues and actively seek opportunities for ongoing improvement.

Data Analysis and Reporting:
  • Monitor and analyze production metrics to identify trends and areas for enhancement.
  • Generate insightful reports to provide the Plant Manager with recommendations for operational improvements.

Resource Management:
  • Help manage plant resources, including equipment, materials, and manpower, ensuring efficient alignment with production demands.
  • Coordinate with the maintenance team to guarantee that equipment is maintained and operates optimally.

Interdepartmental Coordination:
  • Foster collaboration between logistics, quality assurance, and maintenance departments to ensure seamless communication and production flow.
  • Promote cross-functional teamwork to proactively address and resolve operational challenges.

Employee Management:
  • Lead, motivate, and inspire production team members, fostering a positive culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Mentor and develop team members, promoting their professional growth and skill enhancement through constructive feedback and support.

Safety and Compliance:
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
  • Champion a safe working environment, addressing any safety concerns promptly and effectively.

Administrative Responsibilities:
  • Assist with administrative tasks, including data analysis, report generation, and documentation management, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.




Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of production management, quality control, and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities, with a focus on fostering positive relationships.
  • Proficiency in production management software and MS Office Suite.
  • Commitment to maintaining high safety and quality standards.




Working Conditions:
  • This role primarily operates within a plant environment, which may involve exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
  • Some travel may be required to meet with clients, suppliers, or attend industry events.
