We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist with at least 5 years of hands-on machining experience to join our team. The ideal candidate is highly skilled in operating, setting up, and programming CNC equipment, with a strong understanding of precision machining, quality standards, and safety protocols. We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist with at least 5 years of hands-on machining experience to join our team. The ideal candidate is highly skilled in operating, setting up, and programming CNC equipment, with a strong understanding of precision machining, quality standards, and safety protocols. This role requires attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to producing high-quality parts consistently.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and monitor CNC machines (mills, lathes, or multi-axis equipment depending on department needs).
- Read, interpret, and work from technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD/CAM files.
- Perform machine offsets, tool changes, and adjustments to maintain tight tolerances.
- Program CNC machines using G-code and/or CAM software (Mastercam, Fusion 360, or similar).
- Inspect finished parts using precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.).
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines to ensure efficient operation.
- Identify non-conformances and troubleshoot machining issues to improve process reliability.
- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, including setup sheets and production logs.
- Collaborate with engineering, quality control, and production teams to meet job requirements.
- Follow all company safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized work area.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of CNC machining experience required.
- Strong knowledge of machining processes, materials, and tooling.
- Ability to read and interpret complex mechanical drawings and GD&T.
- Proficiency with CNC programming (conversational and/or CAM-based).
- Experience with quality control inspection and measurement tools.
- Demonstrated ability to hold tight tolerances on precision components.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification preferred.
