One of our growing clients is seeking a self-motivated individual to thrive as a Cake Decorator in their expanding business. The focus will be on crafting exquisite cake designs, maintaining and growing customer relationships, and supporting business development through creative confectionery solutions. This role has daytime shifts that include Saturdays, with flexibility for part-time or full-time schedules.
Responsibilities:
• Design and create stunning cakes for various occasions, including weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, corporate events, and other celebrations.
• Maintain strong relationships with existing customers and continually seek opportunities to engage new clients.
• Manage inventory of cake decorating supplies, ensuring high-quality and freshness of ingredients.
• Collaborate with vendors to source unique and seasonal decorating elements, such as edible decorations and specialty ingredients.
• Provide excellent customer service through personalized consultations and creative design recommendations.
• Train and mentor junior cake decorators and support staff to uphold the highest standards of artistry and customer service.
• Contribute to marketing efforts by staging and photographing decorated cakes for promotional materials and social media.
Qualifications:
• Minimum 2 years of experience in cake decorating, with a strong portfolio showcasing diverse design styles.
• Proven sales experience and a knack for building lasting customer relationships.
• Exceptional creativity and attention to detail, with a passion for creating unique and artistic designs.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Degree or certification in Culinary Arts, Pastry Arts, or a related field is preferred.
