In this role, you’ll work closely with our commercial loan officers to ensure every customer interaction is handled with care, precision, and our signature commitment to excellence. You’ll play a key part in delivering banking that truly backs our customers, building relationships rooted in integrity and trust.
What You’ll Do
As a Commercial Loan Assistant, you’ll be an essential part of our lending team. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Loan Support & Documentation
- Prepare worksheets and gather required information for loan requests.
- Order and track key documents such as appraisals, title insurance, flood certificates, credit reports, property taxes, and more.
- Review completed loan documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Coordinate with title companies on loan closings—review settlement statements, prepare closing documents, manage loan proceeds, and ensure timely delivery of closing packets.
- Assist in closing new or renewed loans when loan officers are unavailable.
- Manage the collection and dissemination of title commitments.
- Support loan customers with inquiries, payment processing, loan advances, wires, and invoice payments.
- Collect and verify required documentation to meet CIP and beneficial ownership regulations; update existing customer information when needed.
- Gather and report HMDA-reportable information.
- Clear exception reports related to CIP and beneficial ownership compliance.
- Assist in obtaining updated financials, final title policies, and insurance documentation over the life of the loan.
- Create and update lot development information in the lot books.
- Run the daily overdraft report for commercial customers.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support the lending team.
You’ll ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act, Patriot Act, and OFAC requirements.
