Overview
The Make Ready Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring that residential units are prepared for new tenants. This position requires a blend of technical skills, customer service, and attention to detail to maintain high standards of quality and efficiency. The ideal candidate will be proactive, possess strong leadership abilities, and have a solid understanding of various maintenance tasks.
Duties
- Conduct thorough inspections of residential units to identify necessary repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Perform residential painting to enhance the appearance of units.
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking work orders and inventory.
- Read and interpret schematics to assist in troubleshooting issues effectively.
- Fabricate components as needed for repairs or enhancements within the units.
- Use an ohmmeter and other tools to diagnose electrical issues and ensure systems are functioning properly.
- Supervise and coordinate with other maintenance staff to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing tenant concerns and ensuring satisfaction with the condition of their new home.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
Skills
- Proficiency in residential painting, drywall, carpentry techniques.
- Excellent customer service skills to interact positively with tenants.
- Competence in using an ohmmeter for electrical diagnostics.
This role is essential for maintaining the quality and readiness of residential properties, ensuring that they meet the expectations of new tenants while providing a safe and welcoming environment.
