Job Description

Job Overview:
The Make Ready Technician is responsible for ensuring that apartments are in excellent condition and move-in ready for new residents. This role involves performing repairs, maintenance, and general upkeep to ensure that units meet high-quality standards and provide a welcoming experience for tenants. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, technical skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and attractive living environment.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Apartment Preparation: Inspect and refurbish vacant apartments, including repairing drywall, painting, replacing flooring, and ensuring appliances and fixtures are in working order.

  • General Repairs & Maintenance: Address minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC-related issues to ensure units meet quality standards.

  • Cleaning & Detailing: Deep clean units, including bathrooms, kitchens, floors, and windows, to maintain a pristine appearance.

  • Safety & Compliance: Ensure all repairs adhere to property safety codes and regulations, while identifying and resolving potential hazards.

  • Inventory & Supplies: Maintain stock of essential maintenance supplies and ensure tools and equipment are well-kept.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with the maintenance team, leasing staff, and vendors to streamline apartment turnover and repairs.

  • Emergency Assistance: Support maintenance staff with urgent repair needs or on-call responsibilities when required.
Qualifications:

  • Experience in general maintenance, construction, or apartment turnovers preferred.

  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting.

  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues efficiently.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 50 lbs) and perform physically demanding tasks.
