Job Description
One of our great clients is looking for a Mechanic! This is a great Temp to Hire position with one of Wichita's top employers. We want to talk to you if you have previous Mechanic experience! Position Responsibilities: Performs preventive maintenance and regular service on vehicles and equipment. Diagnoses, troubleshoots, and repairs vehicles and equipment. Makes recommendations for vehicle and equipment maintenance and use. Tracks service and maintenance of vehicles and equipment. Orders and tracks supplies used for maintenance and repairs. Runs errands for supplies, etc. Conducts research on vehicles, equipment, parts, etc. Performs welding and fabrication to make tools, parts, etc. Reviews operator inspection reports. Performs DOT vehicle and trailer inspections. Operates all vehicles, equipment, and tools safely. Provides customer service to internal and external clients. Complies with safety policies and procedures. Provides training on the vehicles and equipment including new hire orientation, driver training, and operational training. Provide additional support as needed. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Experience & Education - Technical training as a fleet mechanic AND 2 years experience in the areas of diagnostics, troubleshooting, fabrication, electronics, welding, hydraulics, engines, transmissions, and differentials. Communication Skills - Strong verbal and written communication skills. Driving-Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
Forklift operating experience.
Interpersonal Skills-Strong customer service orientation.

Problem Solving Skills - Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Safety - Strong ability to work safely with equipment.
