Job Description
Lead the floor, inspire the team — become the driving force behind retail success as our next Assistant Manager! This role requires past management experience and involves working weekends. The Assistant Store Manager will have opening and closing responsibilities and will oversee and coordinate the activities of the retail sales team at the front of the store.
Responsibilities:
- Staff Management: Hire, train, evaluate, and supervise a team of retail sales front-end positions. Schedule and assign staff to ensure optimal efficiency and excellent customer service.
- Daily Operations: Oversee daily operations of the front end, including cash registers, customer service, and checkout lines. Ensure all transactions are accurately recorded and cash drawers are balanced at the end of each shift.
- Inventory and Ordering: Manage store ordering and coordinate inventory to ensure front-end product displays are stocked and presentable.
- Reporting: Handle daily reports and track monthly results and trends for business forecasting.
- Customer Service: Resolve escalated customer complaints and provide resolutions that ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Health and Safety Compliance: Implement and enforce health and safety protocols among front-end staff to comply with regulatory requirements.
- Sales Analysis: Analyze sales data to identify trends, forecast needs, and adjust staffing levels accordingly.
- Promotional Activities: Organize and oversee front-end promotional activities and in-store events to enhance customer engagement and sales.
- Other Duties: Perform all other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Previous grocery management experience is required.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Proficiency in scheduling, ordering, and bookkeeping.
- Ability to handle escalated customer complaints effectively.
