Job Summary
The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations within an aerospace production environment. This role ensures that production schedules are met while maintaining strict compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards. The supervisor leads production teams, supports continuous improvement initiatives, and coordinates closely with engineering, quality, and supply chain functions to deliver high-quality aerospace products on time.



Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to meet schedule, cost, quality, and delivery requirements
  • Lead, train, and motivate production employees while promoting a culture of safety, accountability, and compliance
  • Ensure all manufacturing processes comply with AS9100, FAA, customer, and internal quality requirements
  • Enforce standard work instructions, work travelers, drawings, and specifications
  • Monitor production metrics (OEE, scrap, rework, labor efficiency) and implement corrective actions as needed
  • Coordinate with Quality, Engineering, and Maintenance to resolve production and nonconformance issues
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (RCCA, CAPA)
  • Ensure proper handling and documentation of aerospace parts, materials, and traceability records
  • Maintain compliance with safety regulations, including PPE, FOD prevention, and housekeeping standards
  • Participate in continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, and 5S initiatives
  • Assist with workforce planning, scheduling, and cross-training to meet production demands
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 3–5 years of experience in manufacturing, including supervisory or lead experience
  • Experience in aerospace or other highly regulated manufacturing environments
  • Strong understanding of production workflows, quality systems, and safety practices
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and basic computer applications
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or related field
  • AS9100 or ISO 9001 experience
  • Knowledge of FAA regulations, ITAR, or defense contracting requirements
  • Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement tools
  • Previous experience supervising machining, composites, assembly, or fabrication operations
