Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Retail Office Specialist to join our client's team. This position plays a vital role in managing the financial and operational aspects of our retail store, ensuring smooth daily operations and contributing to the success of our business. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in balancing cashier registers, financial reporting, and store administration tasks. Bilingual candidates (Spanish/English) are preferred, but not required. Hours are Monday-Thursday, 8am-5pm and Saturday 8am-5pm. (Days off are Friday and Sunday)
Key Responsibilities:
Daily Cashier Balancing: Accurately balance and reconcile cashier registers at the end of each shift to ensure accuracy of funds.
Store Financial Reporting: Generate and maintain daily financial reports, ensuring that all sales and cash transactions are recorded and reported in a timely and accurate manner.
Weekly Sale Ad Programming: Prepare, schedule, and program the weekly sales ad, ensuring all promotional offers are accurate and aligned with marketing goals.
Sign Creation and Printing: Design and print store signage, including promotional and pricing signs, to ensure clarity and visibility for customers.
Pricing File Maintenance: Keep the store’s pricing file updated with accurate product prices and ensure that any price changes or markdowns are promptly reflected in the system.
Deposits: Prepare and manage daily deposits for another business that is a liquor store, ensuring all transactions are properly documented and funds are deposited accordingly.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in retail, office administration, or finance-related roles is preferred.
Strong numerical and data entry skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Ability to use retail management systems and POS (Point of Sale) systems for cashier balancing and report generation.
Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills with a high level of accuracy in handling financial transactions and reports.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Bilingual (Spanish/English) is preferred but not required.
Work Ethic: Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
